On April 14, 2025, the Majlis Pelancaran Program Pembangunan Sepak Takraw Negara (NSTDP) was officially launched at Dewan Tun Hussein Onn, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTC KL). The ceremony was graced by YB Hannah Yeoh, the Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, who officiated the event, underscoring the government’s strong commitment to developing and promoting sepak takraw nationwide.
The launch event brought together over 70 key stakeholders from various sectors, including the National Sports Council (MSN), Malaysian Sepak Takraw Association (PSM), Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM), National Sports Institute (ISN), State Sports Councils, State Education Departments, and State Sports Associations. This diverse gathering highlighted the collaborative spirit necessary to implement a structured and sustainable development pathway for sepak takraw athletes, aiming to consistently produce top-tier players.
Sport Spark was honored to be invited to this prestigious program. As a company deeply embedded in the sports industry, we are thrilled to witness and be part of this significant milestone. We see a clear synergy between our mission and the NSTDP’s vision. Our company envisions working alongside the NSTDP and its partners in the near future to foster a sustainable and thriving sepak takraw ecosystem that nurtures talent and elevates the sport both nationally and internationally.
The program’s emphasis on empowerment and structured athlete development aligns perfectly with Sport Spark’s goals of promoting sports innovation and sustainability. We look forward to contributing our expertise and resources to support the NSTDP’s initiatives and help shape the future of sepak takraw in Malaysia.
